home is: a bean table

In this piece, I interview my dear friend Max about the concept of home. Max discusses how he has found himself in Ottawa through place-making and the freedom that comes with moving away from your hometown. I have known Max for many years and his house is one that I visit frequently. one thing that has stayed consistent over the years is that each time I visit, there is almost always something new. In this piece, Max tells the story of how his belongings and furniture act as reflections of himself and make him feel at home. Whether it is a couch from a curb or the bean-shaped table that sits in his living room, max finds comfort and warmth in searching for the next perfect addition to his home.
